Analysis of the risk involved by cross winds on high speed trains
Meteodyn evaluates the risks which exceed critical wind speed and measures wind speed thresholds for which trains speed must be reduced to keep the traffic safe and an ongoing service. Strategies of protection are also proposed.
Monitoring of transportation systems with real time and forecast wind maps (ports, roads, etc.)
The system defines the directional wind speed thresholds to trigger the alarm or operation procedures (offshore anchorage, tug boats requirements, wind alert systems, traffic stop, etc.). Alarm frequencies are evaluated according to local climatology.

For the complex structures (bridges, airports, tall buildings, stadiums, large span roof structures, etc.) whose aerodynamics coefficients cannot be provided by the Eurocode 1, wind loads can be calculated by numerical simulations.

To avoid wind induced tipping over of tower cranes, Meteodyn computes, regardless of the site complexity, the wind speed peak for a 50-year recurrence interval, at the crane hook level. Meteodyn has developed a specific tool to assess wind overload due to dynamic behaviors of cranes. We use our own tool – DynaGAT – developped by the Meteodyn experts.

According to the wind speeds on site and with respect to the documented capability of cranes (legal or given by the operator), Meteodyn provides: high wind alert systems.

To minimize wind induced risk, we also assess wind conditions for amusement park, lakes, outdoor events, outdoor sporting events, etc.
