We will attend the European and African Conference on Wind Engineering (EACWE 2017) which will be held in Liege, Belgium, from 4 to 7 July.
EACWE 2017 will be the 7th in a series of European and African conferences organised every four years under the auspices of the International Association of Wind Engineering (IAWE).

Wind engineering is the study of interactions between wind and humans and their activities. Meteodyn deals with many topics related to the study of wind and its effects. Many of which will be discussed during the conference, including:


  • Aerodynamics and wind effects on structures and vehicules
  • Wind energy: production, forecast, turbulence, wind turbine aerodynamics
  • Wind loads on facades and buildings, civil structures (bridges, cable stayed bridges, stadiums, high rise buildings…), Eurocodes and other standards
  • Natural ventilation inside: potential, influence of wind direction, ventilation systems
  • Extreme winds and simulation of wind effects
  • Atmospheric flows and computational wind engineering (CFD)
  • Wind-driven rain
  • Measuring techniques and lidar
  • Urban microclimate: city planning and wind resource assessment in urban areas
  • Wind safety of construction sites: tower cranes, scaffolding system
  • Impact of wind on solar and photovoltaic panels’production
  • Wind comfort of pedestrians in cities
  • Transports’ wind safety: high speed lines, highway routes, urban cable cars and cableways
  • Cross wind studies along high speed train lines
