Chengyuan Cup - Meteodyn wins the 2nd place

Meteodyn China wins the 2nd place of the Chengyuan Cup

Meteodyn China, the Chinese subsidiary of the Meteodyn Group, won the second prize in the 6th Chengyuan Cup Competition – Planning Decision Support Model Design Competition.

This competition, held for the first time in 2017, has a significant impact on urban planning and numerical simulation in China.

This year, there were a total of more than 150 teams and more than 600 people competing.

The case study, led by Dan WU and Zixiao JIANG (Meteodyn China), in association with the CECA (China Eco-City Academy) and Tianjin University, focused on the simulation of the wind environment in urban areas and the planning of ventilation corridors based on a multi-mesh coupling model in the city of Guiyang (Guizhou Province, China).

It was entirely carried out using software developed by Meteodyn, including UrbaWind for the microscale simulation of the wind flow environment.
