AllEnergy - Meteodyn will exhibit on booth F36

Visit us at All-Energy Exhibition & Conference in Glasgow!

For the first time, Meteodyn will exhibit at All-Energy Exhibition & Conference to meet with the offshore market!

Meteodyn is mostly known and recognized for its CFD software dedicated to onshore, and particularly to complex terrains, that’s true. But aren’t oceans complex too? Mixing wind with waves, it’s an everlasting changing roughness, impacting wind resource and annual energy production assessment.

We will be pleased to welcome you on stand F36!

A new metocean solution

Last year, Meteodyn has joined the CLS group, a specialist of satellites data, particularly renowned for its knowledge of the oceans. Together, we’re introducing a new metocean solution: SARWind.

SARWind is a technology combining SAR imagery (Synthetic-Aperture Radar) with machine learning, high-resolution atmospheric model, and in-situ data. It is a powerful solution for an accurate assessment of the energy potential of offshore wind energy.

This innovative methodology is supported by the French Space Agency (CNES) and has been a major contribution to the wind assessment of the A04 Normandie, on behalf of DGEC, the French Ministry of Environment.

Be sure to visit us on booth F36 to discover SARWind along with our software and services dedicated to wind power.

The atmospheric boundary layer modelling

From the general characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer to the impact of thermal effects and stability on turbulence, passing through the Monin-Obukhov's similarity theory, this white paper covers all the knowledge needed for the atmospheric boundary layer modeling. It details the numerical models available for its computation, focusing on the RANS model (k-ε, k-ω, k-L), more suitable for industrial use or for complex site configurations.
