Atmospheric stability: general classification and simulation in meteodyn WT

With regard to increasing turbine hub heights thermal stability is becoming more and more popular in wind power assessment.

For this, knowledge about atmospheric stability is necessary and a need for proper modeling of the wind conditions in the upper boundary layer arises.

This paper proposes some solutions by introducing reanalysis data and a new approach for the modeling of stability effects in CFD codes.
