Meteodyn to participate to Wakebench, Task 31 – IEA Wind TCP

Meteodyn will participate on June 17, 2020 to the IEA Task 31 Online meeting in order to close this task and start discussing a new one for the Wakebench community.

Started in June 2018, Wakebench is a research Task for the International Energy Agency Wind Technology Collaboration Programme (IEA Wind TCP). Its aim is to create a forum for experts in wind farm flow modeling to set up a framework for verification, validation and uncertainty quantification.

Numerical site calibration

During this IEA online meeting, Meteodyn will intervene in the ‘Wind conditions’ session, on numerical site calibration topic.
A site calibration procedure aims to reduce the effects of terrain on the power performance measurements.

Meteodyn will launch the benchmark on the topic of numerical site calibration between different measuring masts, under the aegis of the International Energy Agency (IEA- Wind Task 31).
